How much were small business in the streets surrounding 911 were financially effected?

I watched bbc documentary last night on the survivors stories. They showed many of the media coverage back when the attack happened. I began to wonder how much were the small businesses that surrounded the streets financially effected, did tax rise for the businesses in new york?
